Pay - $22 CAD an hour + %10 commission on shoots you perform

Job Type - Part Time, Seasonal (May to October 2024) - 20 Hours a week. Options for more hours and extending seasonal work into winter.

Location - Banff/Lake Louise, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

Banff Photography is a leading provider of portrait services in and around the Bow Valley, ranging from Canmore, Banff, to Lake Louise. We capture proposals, engagements, families, weddings, and conferences (and everything in between). We are currently seeking a passionate Photographer/Creative to jump on board!

Job Description

As a team member at Banff Photography, you will have the unique opportunity to showcase your photography amidst the beauty of Banff National Park, and experience a mentorship with our owner and head photographer, Nick.

All this while having the Rocky Mountains in your backyard.

You will be responsible for capturing unforgettable moments and creating lasting memories for our clients. Your primary duties will include:

• Photographing various types of clients in a friendly, approachable, and creative fashion.

• Ensuring the highest quality of images that reflect Banff National Park's natural beauty and spirit.

• Professional editing and delivery of online galleries.

• Collaborating with Nick and our backend team to maintain an organized schedule.

• Providing exceptional customer service and engaging with guests to enhance their experience.

• Handling sales/reports of retail items.

• Other tasks may be added on a case-by-case basis.

• Administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a professional photographer, preferably in an outdoor setting.

• Proficiency in digital photography techniques, including composition, lighting, and editing.

• Strong knowledge of photography equipment and software, including the use of Adobe Creative Suite (mostly Lightroom & Photoshop)

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, large groups, and fellow team members.

• Passion for outdoor adventure and appreciation for the natural world.

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.

• A videography background is not required - but it is an asset!
